As a Mechanical Engineering student in my fourth year at Cedarville, I protest the removal of the CU philosophy program and any of its professors. I’ve had the privilege of taking a course from Dr. Mills and several other professors which demonstrated the integration of philosophy and theology in all areas of life, including music, art, and science. Dr. Mills, Dr. Graves, and others have been highly influential in the foundation of my faith. Their teaching significantly helped improve my critical thinking. Philosophy, theology, and apologetics go hand-in-hand and can be helpful in any vocation, including (and maybe especially) engineering. If well-trained philosophers were sent out to diverse professions, the Kingdom of God would be greatly advanced.
I am so thankful for the philosophical training I’ve received, and stand against the removal of the philosophy program from Cedarville
